Text

It was a turbulent time and a great time. Learning to adjust to someone and especially with a new baby and illness. However, it passed quickly and both of us were delighted with the new baby. Within distance of my parents and brothers and sisters and old friends (as I didn't move away). They were all a great support to me and each other. Our neighbours were great too as most of the women were stay at home mums. We all had time to talk and make plans for outings, classes etc. So I embarked on a career (no money involved) and went dancing, roller skating, aerobics, writing group, history group, back to school for a few years doing courses and painting, which I still do today. Then into less strenuous work like book clubs, active retirement. Also knitted when wools were beautiful and patterns were available. Did bits of writing and rhymes.
