Text

While the whole tenor of my upbringing, and my desire to show my love for God led me in a certain direction, my aunt Sr. Emilian, had a significant influence on me - I admired her greatly. My mother's affection for them and the way she put her three sisters who were members of the St. Louis congregation - as well as all the nuns we met in the various convents we visited, on a pedestal - had an effect on me. We were always warmly welcomed on any of these visits and made to feel special. The urgings of Sr. Marie Raphael who adopted me as a sort of protg in school also drew me in the direction which I initially took my life. Later the biggest influence in my life was and is my husband Muredach.
