But compensations were plenty. Time to catch up on groups and friends. Though some had moved or died there were many more left in the same position. So we have the active retirement, where we meet and plot and plan and gossip, compare notes and ailments.There is little time for boredom. Of course we have T.V. and computers. T.V. we (some of us) can find pretty tedious at times. Computers are good for information, gmails etc. but myself, I prefer a good book or a few crosswords. Probably old habits die hard.Governments have come and gone. The mighty have fallen and others take their place. We've seen most of it and are glad not to be repeating the experiences.As long as we have our health, some money to pay our bills, life is good.
