Text

Becoming a teenager was thankfully very different in those days. I was still involved with the choir and that filled my teenage years fully. All of our time was spent there because now we had a hall where records and photography was practiced and we just hung out there every evening. It was there where we were taught ballroom dancing and other essentials that were important in life at that time. It is hard for people to comprehend that of us girls, all our time and energy went into the activities that surrounded this choir. In between, I did manage some night courses and homework and boyfriends. A favourite pastime of myself and Marie was window shopping and we knew exactly on which days shops changed their window displays on each side of the city.
